Lachlan Mullen

If you’ve got a teenage son… this might make sense to you. Meet Lachlan (Lachie) I’m 18. And a few years ago I was angry, lost, and honestly just drifting. I didn’t really know what I was doing with myself or where I was heading. I wasn’t in a good headspace. I found boxing because I needed something. Not because I loved it at first. It just gave me structure. Something to show up for. Something to focus on instead of just going in circles in my own head. That was enough to keep me going. Since then I’ve had 6 fights, including an exhibition, and every time I step in the ring I learn something new. Not just about boxing, but about myself. Because there’s nowhere to hide in there. When you’re tired, getting hit, under pressure… it shows you who you really are. I needed that. I didn’t do it alone either. Shane McDonald has been a massive part of my life. Not just as a coach, but as someone who actually stuck around when things weren’t good. He’s helped me more than I can explain. Honestly feels like a second dad sometimes. End of 2025 I kind of lost my way again. Lost focus, lost purpose. But that made it pretty clear to me… Boxing isn’t just something I do. It’s just who I am. And Phoenix Boxing is where I found that again. That’s even why I’ve got it tattooed on me. Just a reminder of everything. Boxing keeps me disciplined. Keeps me focused. Keeps me moving forward. Without it I don’t know where I’d be. With it, I know where I’m going. This isn’t really about fights. It’s just about trying to turn something negative into something better. And I’m only just getting started. #phoenixboxingclub #butler #alkimos #family #buildinganempireforthem #communitygym #LegacyInAction
