Driven by consistency and constant improvement, Reuben approaches boxing as both a physical and mental challenge, committing fully to the demands of the sport. He trains with intent, continually pushing his limits while refining his technique, conditioning, and ring IQ. His fighting style is built on relentless pressure, power, and sharp combination punching. Ruben looks to draw reactions from his opponents, baiting mistakes and capitalising with calculated counterattacks. He punches with bad intentions and always hunts for the stoppage, making him a high‑risk, high‑reward opponent. Inspired by Mike Tyson, Ruben first stepped into a boxing gym at just 12 years old. Although his early years were split between boxing and Australian rules football, the love for fighting never left him. In 2022, his path changed when he met Shane and joined Raiders Boxing Gym in Karratha. What began as a way to rebuild discipline and structure quickly turned into a serious pursuit, with Shane reshaping his mindset and pushing him to commit fully to boxing. Since then, Ruben has amassed 11 amateur bouts, gaining valuable experience through wins, losses, and hard lessons. He has travelled across Australia and internationally for training camps and competition, building resilience, skill, and lasting friendships along the way. Boxing has instilled discipline, accountability, and a relentless drive to keep both mind and body in peak condition. Now backed by Phoenix Boxing Club, Ruben’s goal is clear: to transition into the professional ranks. With the right guidance and continued development, he believes he can compete with the best in Australia and his aggressive, crowd‑pleasing style ensures he’ll be one to watch as his journey continues.
