Meet Sarah.... Sarah, Co Owner of Phoenix Boxing, brings a lifetime of experience, passion, and purpose into everything she builds. Originally from Manchester, she spent five years living in Spain, running bars, travelling extensively, and embracing life to the fullest before making Australia home 15 years ago. Having travelled her whole life, Sarah believes she has a deep well of knowledge and perspective to share, particularly with young people finding their way. With more than 10 years’ experience in recruitment, Sarah has recently shifted her focus into school based traineeships, traineeships, and apprenticeships, helping bridge the gap between education and real world opportunity. She has coached, led, and mentored people for over 20 years and is deeply passionate about making From Classroom to Career personal, practical, and meaningful. Sarah strongly believes that young people need both physical and mental mentors, coaches who lead with integrity, build discipline, and encourage confidence. That belief is central to the rebirth of Phoenix Boxing. Her connection to boxing began early. Raised as the daughter of a passionate boxing fan, Sarah grew up surrounded by the sport. With two daughters, her dad raised them on a steady diet of Manchester United and unforgettable boxing nights, travelling the world to watch fights and proudly supporting legends like Ricky Hatton. Boxing was never just something they watched, it was part of who they were. After moving to Australia, Sarah continued following the sport, but everything changed four years ago when she met Shane. On their very first date, Shane shared his dream for boxing and his vision for the future. Sarah had no doubt he was destined for more, and without hesitation, she knew she wanted to stand by his side. He did not need more drive, he needed belief. Sarah became his biggest supporter and strongest advocate. Phoenix Boxing has been in the making for over three and a half years, and now that shared vision is becoming reality. Beyond the gym, Sarah’s greatest passion is youth and family. As a mum to two daughters and a proud bonus mum to three boys, everything she does is about creating a legacy they can be proud of. Through her work and through Phoenix Boxing, Sarah is committed to building people, not just fighters, mentally, physically, and emotionally. Phoenix Boxing is about guiding young people from the classroom to career, giving them the confidence, discipline, and belief they need to step into their future. It is about community, connection, and inviting everyone along for the journey. Phoenix is more than a business. It is a legacy in action. A passion project built on belief, purpose, and impact. This is only the beginning, and Sarah truly believes Phoenix Boxing will change lives.
